Sigma Beauty's Nightlife Collection Review and Makeup Tutorial [VIDEO]
Sigma Beauty is a well-known brand in the beauty world so I'm sure you've heard about them already (and if you haven't then well now you know 😂)! Almost everybody knows about their brushes because they're amazing, and I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that they produce makeup products too, and spoiler alert, they're pretty great as well!
Today, I'm so excited to be sharing with you my review on some of the products in their NightLife collection by Camila Coelho. I used all of those products in my most recent makeup tutorial so if you want to see how they applied, scroll to the end of this post for the video. If you've seen the video already because you're subscribed to my channel already, you're awesome! 😘
Disclaimer: These products were sent to me to try out but as usual, my opinion about the products I will be mentioning below will be 100% honest! Also, the links I will provide will be affiliate links. If you feel uncomfortable about that and you don't want to support me (huhu, help the girl get more makeup), I totally understand! Just go straight to sigmabeauty.com to check out their products! :)
nightlife Eyeshadow Palette // $39
The first thing I've noticed about the packaging of the Nightlife collection is that the cardboards the products are packaged in are glittery and so "Nightlife" appropriate! They all have this city night vibe going on and I love it! I even shared a Boomerang on my beauty account on Instagram because I think the packaging is really pretty!
Anyway, let's get on with the review and swatches shall we?
I like that it's very compact and it feels really sturdy. I believe it is made out of cardboard and it has a matte texture. It has a good size mirror which I really appreciate and it's small enough to hold in one hand while applying your eyeshadow! It is magnetic so it closes very securely.
This palette has a mixture of shimmer, metallic and matte finishes and has a great selection of colors for dramatic nighttime looks, and to be honest, even for the daytime if you want a more neutral look! The powders are very pigmented and so easy to blend. I just noticed though, that the matte shades have better pigmentation than the shimmery ones. My favorite shades from this palette are Topaz, After Hours and Leather Pants. Two things to consider about this palette is that one, it kicks up a lot of powder when you swirl your brush on the shadows and two, it can produce a little bit of fallout, especially on the shimmery eyeshadows.
Limelight Bronzer // $12
I've never seen a bronzer so cute and tiny like this one! This also has the same packaging as the eyeshadow palette.
I'm not used to seeing bronzers in such a small size! It's not a bad thing though! This would be great to bring on travels as well since this is not bulky at all! It's even smaller than the palm of my hand! Despite its small size, I like that it has a mirror as well. The packaging is plastic and it has a matte feel to it.
On the website, it is described as a neutral medium-toned matte bronzer and at first I thought that it was too light for my tan. Also, my initial reaction when I swatched this was "it lacks pigmentation". But now that I've used it on my face, I actually like the fact that is not extremely pigmented because I get to build it up with no worries! I hate when I get a little too heavy-handed on my bronzer and it makes my face looking muddy! With this bronzer, that's probably never going to happen. I say for 12 bucks, this one is worth checking out.
Afterglow Liquid Highlighter // $12
How cute is this?! 😍
Yes yes yes. It also has that Nighlife packaging like the other two I just mentioned and I freaking adore it! This liquid highlight is in a lipgloss kind of tube with a brush for easy application! It is made out of plastic and the handle has a matte texture.
On the website, it is described as a beige color with a pearlized pink glow. I'm going to be honest with you. At first I thought that a pink highlight would look ridiculous. I mean, who wants a pink glow on their cheeks right? It just looks odd if you think about it. But I guess I was being too judgmental about it without trying it out first! I used it on my smokey eye video and HOLY MOLY I loved how it looked on my cheekbones!
So, it is a liquid highlighter and I love how easy it is to apply on the face. It is very blendable and is absolutely wearable, especially on occasions when you want to look a little extra! I like to use it as a base for my powder highlight! It makes the powder highlight stick better to my skin and it just adds the perfect hint of pinky glow from within!💖
I recently filmed this smokey eye look for my channel and I used a lot of Sigma products to achieve it! Check it out if you want to see the products I mentioned today in action! And hey, I have a discount code for you guys if you do want to purchase stuff from the Sigma website!
