Q & A: What Inspired Me To Start A Blog?

1. What inspired you to start a blog?

I don't remember when I started blogging exactly, but it started waaaay before blogging was actually a thing. Remember Multiply? Yeah. I think I started there, because Friendster didn't really allow you to document your life. So yes, it started with Multiply, then Livejournal, then Wordpress, then Blogger, then Tumblr, and finally, this. HAHA.

I have always enjoyed writing, and I thought that blogging was a great way to document my life. At first, it was my outlet for unspoken feelings and as the years passed by, it evolved into something I'm able to make money out of. HAHA. I still share my heart, my experiences and stuff, but this time, it's more filtered, and more "profesh" if you will. Back in 2009, when Tumblr was bomb, I didn't care that I posted just about anything! But now, I actually take my time to write posts that I am proud to show the world.

2. If you were only allowed to eat one food everyday for as much as you like for a year, what would you pick?

Potatoes? You can do so many things with potatoes. Or rice. I can eat rice forever. If I were allowed to eat one meal for the rest of my life, it would be IHOP's Breakfast Sampler haha.

3. If you could be a non-living thing for a day, what would you be and why?

I would be Jorge's cellphone, that way, I can still be with him at all times. HAHA. He is attached to his phone, you guys have no idea!

4. Are you now the person you imagined yourself to be five years ago?

I would say yes? I've always dreamed to be a full-time blogger. It's my passion, and I'm so glad that I have the privilege to be calling this my job. I'm slowly training myself to be a daily vlogger too (because more moolah), so hopefully that goes well for me. So far, it's been good, the only issue now is that it's hard to balance both a blog and a YouTube channel. 24 hours is just not enough!

I've always wanted to be married by the time I reached 25, which I have accomplished too, so yes. HAHA.

5. What can you not live without?

I can't live without water! Water is so important to me!

6. If you were to pick a place to go to, where would it be and why?

Right now, my dream destination is Iceland, because well, it's Iceland! Have you seen pictures on Instagram and videos of the auroras from there? Absolutely STUNNING!

7. If you were to be given $1, 000, 000 right now, what are you going to do with it?

I will tithe to my church, then I'm going to buy a nice house around here. I will share some money to my awesome sisters and family in the Philippines, then Jorge and I will travel the world!

8. If you can go back in time, would you? If so, what are you going to do?

I would! I would go back to Jesus' time. I would follow him, literally. It would be so nice to see all his miracles, and listen to all his teachings and stories. I've always wondered how he really looked like, and if he was a funny guy. :)

9. Name a weird habit of yours.

I do this weird thing with my fingernails and my bed. I kind of rub my nails on the bed very hard so it feels as if I'm pulling my nails out. It feels sooooo freaking good, especially when the bed is cold.

If you guys are wondering how that looks like, watch this vlog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkg08hFvsKY

10. What would you tell your five-year old self right now?

I would tell myself to never stop singing because God is going to use that talent to touch the generation of the future. I probably wouldn't understand that as a 5-year old, but that's what I would tell myself hehe.

11. What would you tell your future self, ten years from now?

Your kids might be driving you crazy right now, but Jesus got you. :) And your husband is h(ot)andsome, so breathe... You'll be alright. And keep doing what you're doing because you're doing great! ✨
