WHAT I WORE: Of Mustard and Pumpkins + My The Drop 2016 Experience
FALL is finally upon us and I couldn't be more excited! One of my favorite shades for fall is mustard, so when I wore this "momsy" outfit last weekend, I was very eager for Jorge to have my photos taken in front of this shop that had pumpkins everywhere! 🎃 But before we get into the outfit deets, I want to talk to you about my experience in North Carolina at The Drop.
Jorge and I, along with some of the Ascend crew drove to Falcon, North Carolina on September 22nd, to attend The Drop 2016 - History Rewritten. I'm sure if you follow me on Instagram, you've seen a glimpse of what it is about through my InstaStories.
It is a conference focused on empowering the youth and young adults to build their ministries in their schools and campuses. It was extremely encouraging to see so many young people gather, and to be hungry for more, because they all understood that their lives mean so much more because they had Jesus in their hearts. Lindy Conant and The Circuit Riders came out and it was so awesome to have had worship with them, Sean Feucht of Burn 24-7 and Lou Engle of The Call are among the few who spoke at the conference, and let me tell you, it was a breath of fresh air and it was absolutely an amazing experience.
God is doing big things in our generation and I believe that He will send revival to every nation! You best believe I cried for my home country, the Philippines. If you've reached this part of this post, please pause and pray with me for a second. Just ask God to heal ancient wounds of my people, ask God to give the Filipinos the strength and courage to choose LOVE even though what they read from the news tells them to do otherwise, ask God to drive away fear in the hearts of those who want to follow His son, Jesus' footsteps, ask God for miracles and an abundance of comfort and blessings...
"...Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
In Jesus' name, amen. Thank you. Now, let's get on to what you're really here for! 💛
On the 23rd, the first day of the conference, I wore my cute mustard tee that has a semi turtle-neck style, after all, it was the day after the first day of fall. I'm not exactly sure what to call the style of the shirt, but it is cropped, it is mustard, and I love it! Since I don't like my belly showing, I paired the cropped tee with my new thrifted high-waisted mom jeans which I got it for 5 bucks (thanks Ines for taking me thrift shopping)!
And guys, did you know that online thrift stores exist? Yes, and they have high end brands like Ann Taylor, Marc by Marc Jacobs, J.Crew, Madewell, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, The Sak, and many more, which you can get for waaay cheaper! Sign up for ThredUp now and get to shopping! I recently placed an order and I saved up to $300! That's insane savings, and I cannot wait to show you all the fall items I got! I also have some coupon codes for you, so get to shopping:
I finished off the look with black leather accessories: the boots and the bag are from JustFab, the belt is from Target, and my watch is from Daniel Wellington. And yes I have bangs again and I'm loving it so much! I've been enjoying styling my hair as well, and that just opened up more blogging and YouTube ideas for me. 👍🏻
I hope you guys liked this post, and if you did, please give me a like (you'll see a heart pop out)! More fall outfits are in the making so stay tuned for that! Hope you all have a great day! 😘
What is your fall COLOR scheme? I love me some mustards, terra cottas, olives and nudes! 😍
