Gingham Style

Like with the tassel/pompom trend, I am a little late to the gingham party as well, since my Instagram feed right now is telling me I need stripes (and we'll get to that later).
But this is what my grandma used to say: "it's better late than never", and so here we are!

She used that phrase in the context of school, but it still works for outifts and stuff! HAHA. Anyway, if you want to see how I styled my cute gingham dress, keep on scrolling. #Romwe

GINGHAM STYLE

This gingham dress is from Romwe, and I got it because of the sleeves and the ribbons on the back! I just think that those little details made the dress so much cuter, and playful. I'm wearing a size small, and the sleeves are a little tight for my arms. The fabric has no stretch whatsoever, so whenever I do wear this dress, I have to be careful with my arm movements to avoid ripping the dress. I guess that just means I have to lose a little bit of arm fat.😂  But I do like that the fabric is opaque enough for me not to have to wear shorts underneath. I hate it when dresses are kind of "see-through". The best part about this dress? It's only $17!

I wanted the whole look to be super relaxed and comfy, so I wore my new favorite slippers from Charming Charlie. I cannot STOP wearing them, even though they are a little bit uncomfortable to walk in. HAHA. For a nice pop of color, I chose my little Hush Puppies bag for this outfit.

WHAT I WORE:

Gingham Dress - Romwe
Espadrille Slippers - Charming Charlie (it's only $7.77 right now!)
Watch - Daniel Wellington
Purse - Hush Puppies
Glasses - Glasses Shop

Do you like the gingham trend? Or do you think it's borderline tacky? Does it remind you of picnics too? HAHA.
