Explore With Corinth: Black Street Stairs
Black Street Stairs
When the rest of the family decide to go grocery shopping, expect Jorge and I to always NOT go with them because, well, I'll be honest, I don't really like going to Superstore unless I really have to. Since my sisters are so used to taking care of that grocery shopping list, Jorge and I decided to just go somewhere today while my sisters were in Superstore. We went to Black Street and we climbed its stairs.
Earlier this year, my sister and I went to this place on a spontaneous photo adventure but I failed to climb all the way to the top because of my fear of heights. I don't know what it is with me and these stairs but they felt really dangerous to me that I just couldn't move my legs easily from one step to another.
Today when Jorge and I climbed it, it scared me again, but somehow, I felt braver because Jorge was right behind me. It was a long scary climb but we reached the top and we were rewarded with bursts of yellows, reds and greens by God's creations. Of course, Jorge and I took so many pictures of each other.
We kept walking and then we were greeted by Downtown Whitehorse and our eyes were just in pure awe. The city is tucked inside walls of mountains like how a little baby is bundled inside a crib. It was simply amazing.
If you are looking for a place to go for your daily run, this is such a nice place to sweat it all out. I don't work out or run but I'm sure if you are one of those, you'll enjoy running on top of Whitehorse. Yukoners are so blessed to have places like this. This is located at the end of Black Street. These trails are located at the top of the stairs; where the airport is at so you will definitely hear the planes land and take off here.
December is upon us, and that means gift-giving season is here!
There are three type of people in the world during the holiday season: one, the ones that know exactly what kind of gifts to get people, two, the ones that don't really care about giving gifts, and three, the ones that want to give gifts but have no idea what to get! I'm in the third category for most of my adult years, but this year, I discovered an awesome product that I know for a fact everyone in your life will appreciate receiving...
One particular person called my title clickbait, I call it the truth! Seriously though, my life has changed, and I am here for it!
In case you missed Jorge and I's huge announcement on Instagram, I suggest that you scroll all the way down to watch the video, and then come back up here to continue reading! If you don't want to watch it, then here is a spoiler: I AM PREGNANT! I'm sure from the title of this post, you already knew that!
Grace & Stella was so generous to send me a few of their products to try out in celebration of their Black Friday Event, which is happening right now, November 23rd through the 27th! They have up to 80% off in deals so be sure to check out their website: graceandstella.com.
Today, I will be sharing with you the three products that I used to achieve a relaxing spa day at home. If you scroll all the way down, you will see a quick video where I also talk about the products and demo them as well!
I love slow mornings, even on days when I know I have a lot of deadlines waiting on me. There’s just something about having that first sip of coffee and immediately feeling you’re ready to take on the day. Today, I will share with you why nothing comes before coffee for me, and how important it is in my daily routine.
If you read my previous post then you know that blogging is my full time job and I actually love it! Not a lot of people can say that they love their jobs, and I'm so grateful to not be a part of that group. Photography, editing, writing, creating makeup videos, product shots, social media, etc., anything blogging related, I enjoy it! Blogging initially sounds like it's not a big deal, but once you actually break down everything that makes blogging possible, it can be pretty expensive. And the one thing that's not enjoyable is when you lose something that is the bread and butter of your job.
My last Life Lately (personal) post was in July, and boy was that a long time ago. I try to balance out my content here on Explore with Corinth, but sometimes, the need for extra $$$ becomes my priority. Making money wasn't really my ultimate goal when I started this blog. It just sort of kind of happened. It was one of those "I didn't realize I could make money off of this, but since I am already doing it, why not" type things. And it's crazy that as I am typing this, I realized that I've been blogging full time for almost two years already. TWO YEARS! In that time, I've learned a lot of things about myself, about this industry, about this job.
Let's revisit this blog series (I started months ago) because I still have a few pieces I want to feature here. I'm sure by the title and the cover photo, you already know what I will be styling today: my favorite white fuzzy sweater.
It's been a while since my last bullet journal post, and I am so glad to be finally back!
If you guys don't already know, I switched to an Erin Condren planner a few months ago after I used up all the pages of my first bullet journal. It was great while it lasted, and sadly, I didn't last at all! To say that the transition from my bullet journal to a planner was challenging is an understatement. Don't get me wrong, the planner was really great, very cute, and the pages worked, but I have learned a few things about myself, and one of the things is that PLANNERS DON'T WORK FOR ME.
Fall is the best season because for me, it is the season of dressing up!
It's the perfect not-too-hot-not-too-cold weather, and that means I'm able to really play and switch around my outifts. I'm sure by the title of this post, you already know what I will be talking to you about. Dresses are usually summer pieces, but if you want to incorporate them into your fall fashion, you totally can! All you need to are some key autumn pieces to add both warmth and style.
I AM NOT A MAKEUP ARTIST, NOR DO I TRY TO BE! This post is me sharing the types of eyeshadow brushes I love using when I do play with eyeshadow.
Besides adding the bling, a.k.a., the highlighter on my cheekbones and everywhere else on my face, eyeshadow is the most fun part for me when I do my makeup. This is the area where I can really exercise my creativity, and having the right tools is key to achieve the different looks that I plan for. Like I said in the beginning of this post, today, I will be sharing with you my TOP 5 essential brushes for eyeshadow, and I really hope that you find this post helpful if you have been wanting to dive a little deeper in the world of makeup.
