August Favorites

Bye August, Hello September! I'm writing this post on a wet and gloomy day. I already had my first cup of coffee, but this weather is making me itch to make another cup. ☕️  My Ethiopian blend beans are sitting downstairs, patiently waiting for me to grind them, to make a hot cup of coff... Okay, I'm going to stop it with the coffee talk now, but it's just that FALL is my fave season and I'm so excited for it to fall upon us! See what I did there? 🙊

Anyway, my day is going great so far, thanks for asking.😂  I started my bullet journal last night, and I can already say that it has helped me turn my "lazy work day" into a very productive day because I've got so much done today and it's not even 1PM (as I'm typing this); I usually get up at 12PM -- 😁  One of my agendas for today was to get my August Favorites post up, and so, here we are.

Last month, I didn't really try out a lot of new products so this post should be short!

My husband's shirts have been huge favorites from last month because they were my throw-it-on-when-you-feel-cold "jacket". It still gets pretty hot here in Maryland, and putting on a legit thick jacket is a no for me, so these shirts are perfect because they give me the warmth I need without weighing me down! Check out how I styled Jorge's blue shirt here. I also love how these shirts give my outfits more edge and character. I usually just wear a pair of shorts with a regular t-shirt, and when I throw on one of these shirts, boom, zero to hundred real quick! And one more thing, they hide my food belly! 🙌🏻

I really loved wearing my Jord Wood Watch this past month! I knew it was going to end up in my monthly favorites because I just love how it looks! The face is huge, which I love, and the ebony & gold style is gorgeous. In case you didn't know, Jord and I are giving away a $75 e-gift card to one of my readers, that's you! Please enter if you haven't already. And just for entering, you automatically get a $25 e-gift card as well!

For skincare, I only have three to feature this month! I've been using Botanic Farm's Grain Ferment Cleansing Sherbet as my makeup remover for over a month now and I absolutely love it! It has replaced my coconut oil and I don't think I'm ever going back! This almost has the same consistency of coconut oil, but this stuff, you can rinse off without the oily residue! It won't grease up your sink too, so I have really been enjoying to use this stuff! Thanks MemeBox for sending this to me!

Last month, I've used both of these products every night and I really noticed results. I don't use too much, since I have combination skin, and these products are created for normal to dry skin, but my skin has felt really soft and smooth, thanks to these two! I wrote a whole review on these and I'm also doing a giveaway on these products so please join that if you haven't done so already! You still have a few days left to enter

I don't know what urged me to re-watch The Vampire Diaries, but I did! Gosh, I love that show so much! I think it's the perfect fall show too! So yes, I'm so excited for autumn and for all the autumn clothes and makeup looks!

Last but not least, one of my favorite things about August was my trip to Columbus, Ohio! That was Jorge and I's first out-of-town trip together, just the two of us and it was such an amazing experience! We drove from Maryland to Ohio with our cute car and, I can't wait to share with you guys the places we saw! Cbus posts coming soon on the blog...

I took a photo of Jorge taking a photo of the glorious sunrise, on the morning we drove to Ohio.

one of my favorite pictures from our trip.

And that's it folks! Told you it will be short! Hope you all had an adventure filled August as well! Now, it's back to school to some of you, and it's back to hustling with freelance work for me! God bless you!
